GANT

How GANT saved 50% in time and money by using Fibbl’s product images

50%

GANT saved 50% in time by using Fibbl’s product images, needing only 1 day to approve the images, compared to 2 days using traditional photography.

50%

GANT saved 50% of their expenses by not having to create product images themselves.

GANT’s e-commerce team had 3D and Virtual Try On in place when the demand for seamlessly matching product images emerged. Gustaf Jernberg, Production Lead at GANT, partnered with Fibbl to save both time and money for the 2023 spring/summer shoe collection.

GANT’s assets

GANT is a premium legacy brand with a rich heritage and a long history. Their first shirt was born in 1949. Since then, they have expanded their business to include other product categories, such as shoes, all while maintaining a commitment to top quality across all product lines. That’s why aligning the overall customer experience with product images that match the brand’s overall appearance, while saving both time and money, was an easy decision.

“An argument for not making traditional product images anymore is the significant cost and time involved. If something can’t be fixed in post-production, it must be reshot. That is very expensive and time-consuming. With Fibbl, all of these hassles simply vanish.”

Product images are always included in the delivery

Since product images are automatically generated and included in the delivery when we convert a shoe into a 3D model, just like Virtual Try On and 360 viewer, we had all the prerequisites to deliver on GANT’s goal to match the brand’s overall appearance.

By streamlining administrative tasks for GANT, adjusting deliveries to their specifications, and eliminating the need for post-production adjustments to lighting and coloring, we could also achieve greater cost-efficiency. As an added bonus, GANT would be able to improve their time-to-market with more swift distribution.

I have worked in photo production for more than 10 years, both as a retoucher and a production manager, and in recent years as a production lead at Gant. I’m constantly pondering how to improve processes. In this case, our previous setup from the supplier was not aligned with our overall brand appearance, which is why I found it interesting to try Fibbl who already helped us with our online shopping experience, says Gustaf.

A customer experience worthy of our century

According to Gustaf, the pandemic changed a lot of things for Gant. Not only for sales, but a major shift was taking place internally where the customer journey and the digital experience online was instantly considered more important than ever.

– To create the overall experience we had in mind, you need a supplier who handles everything for full brand consistency. Fibbl did just that, and the reliability they provided was a key factor as things were implemented swiftly after receiving feedback. Everything was executed very professionally and with minimal friction, comments Gustaf.

We created product images of 350 shoes for GANT’s 2023 spring/summer collection.
